My uncle's wife hails from the countryside in this area of eastern Moiyan.​

It was interesting to see paddy fields up close (including ducks!).

Inside the house they cooked in a fixed wok over a real wood fire.

We visited the old rooms where she was born and grew up.

On a walk in the surrounding areas we saw an ancestral hall that had been featured on Chinese TV.

It was not open to the public on that day, so we could only look at the decorations on the outside.​

Further along the walk was this tall bamboo by the bridge. Maybe 30m tall?
